Research Center For Quality And Reliability CQR
Founded at March 1st, 2006
CQR has been founded at March 1st, 2006, due to the floatation by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Czech Republic (The research and development project No. 1M06047). The subvention is granted until the end of 2009. CQR joins together eight workplaces from four technical universities, one research institute of Academy of Sciences of Czech Republic and two private companies.

The target program of CQR is the development of methods for quality improvement, diagnostics and reliability increase of production, products and technological methods, especially with respects to their applicability. The main accent is given to the comprehensive analytical methods leading to higher competitivness of Czech enterprises and companies.

CQR associates the most leading research workplaces occupied by given problems:

  • Czech Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Technical Mathematics and Department of Technology
  • Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Mathematics
  • Technical University of Liberec, Faculty of Mechatronics and Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies, Department of Modelling of Processes
  • Technical University of Liberec, Faculty of textile engineering, Department of Mathematics
  • VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Applied Mathematics
  • Institute of Information Theory and Automation Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague, Department of Stochastic Informatics
  • Trilobyte Statistical Software Ltd., Pardubice
  • ISQ Prague Ltd.

This fact assures both possibility of theirs profitable collaboration and the narrow communication with the recipients of research outputs. The significant advantage is the effective and meaningful capability combination in order to solving of common problems. CQR facilitates mutual coordination and complementary research in the field of quality improvement, diagnostics and reliability increase with applications namely in the production, outputs, transportation and services.
Organisation structure

At the head of CQR is the board of directors and the Council of CQR. The board of directors consists of the executives of eight research workplaces. The Council CQR incorporates 11 members both from universities and from enterprises.
